Gitschberg in summer – become a passionate hiker

In summer around Mount Gitschberg there are countless possibilities to explore the surrounding mountain world. The Gitschhütte Hut is the perfect starting point for excursions and hiking tours.

To reach the Gitschhütte Hut you can take the comfortable cable car and walk there in 15 minutes. If you feel fit for a longer walk, take the path 12 from Meransen.

From Gitschhütte Hut you can undertake the following excursions:

• To Mt. Gitschberg (2510 m, path 12)
• To Mt. Kleine Gitsch (2262 m, path 6.12)
• Kiener Alm alpine pasture(path 12)
• To Meransen (path „Möserweg“ 12A)
• To the Seefeldseen Lakes and into the Altfasstal Valley (path 6 and path 12A)
