No matter whether you’re skiing, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, tobogganing or snowboarding, around the Gitschberg everyone becomes a winter sports lover and fan of the snow.
The shapely Gitschberg stands at the perfect altitude at 1,400 to 2,500 metres and, thanks to its geographic location and natural and artificial snow, is guaranteed to have enough snow to last until the middle of April.
Ski Touring Night: Every Thursday from early December until the last Thursday in February, our hut is open until 10:00 PM.
But winter sports are far from being everything that the Gitschberg has to offer.
Après-ski, South Tyrolean à la carte specialities and sun worshipping on the panoramic terrace are as much a part of a skiing holiday as perfect carving and refreshment stops. There’s always lots going on at the GITSCHhütte in winter: parties, fun and new friendships. Exactly what a South Tyrolean skiing holiday should be!
The toboggan run starts right at the Nesselhütte, which is why we also offer toboggans for rent. Ski tourers and snows hoers will also find plenty to enjoy!
